My apologies.  I was clearly completely wrong about Cyanogen.

Here I was pointing out the obvious for those unknown or those in denial, you know, all that Loxdev bull.

I clarified my belief that Loxdev was behaving on his own and in no way represented who I always thought was the far less hypocritical {moral/political/legal/mannered} Cyanogen himself.

and then this gets tweeted:

"cyanogen @cyanogen: For the "ROM devs" not releasing changes to GPL source code: Go die in a fire. You know who you are."

Wow.  My sincere apologies to all long time readers of my blog.  My pride comes from how I only expose those who are true bags.  For example Loxdev.

But I clearly missed someone.  Cyanogen has the same boorish persona as his minion porter Loxdev.

The question of course it this:

Is that really what Cyanogen is like? A bag with a mouth and programming skill?

Or did Cyanogen himself do what I pointed out so clearly Loxdev failed to do.  Take responsibility for the actions of his underlings.  If he did then he purposely threw that tweet to take the heat off Loxdev and stand up for his team.  BUT WHAT A FAIL WAY TO REPRESENT, DOG.

I suggest any programmers who are truly decent people and work on the CM team: JUMP SHIP NOW.  Your name will be tarnished for as long as people remember political lies {typically just under 4 years depending on upcoming election dates}.

Now life gets really fun.  Oh what can I dig up on our fearless and apparently classless underground leader?

Loxdev continues his revolting revolt

Loxdev does.  Hes the type of bully wannabe that can't put himself into someone else's shoes.

Everything I said in my blog about him bounced off like hes made of rubber.

Past summary:  Loxdev targets Cronos dev's Feeyo with stupid insults and arrogant self righteous psychobabble.  He feels confident to be victim, police, lawyer, judge, jury and hangman over something so small that any REAL kernel developers out there who have commented on this subject have said Feeyo's infraction of the GPL is very minor and the code in question doesn't matter to anyone.

My summary - this shouldn't have mattered to Loxdev.

Moments after this goes down on feeyo's forum he's sent an email from a representative of the GPL (officially this time) asking him to stop distributing his work until this has been looked into further.

Who did YOU think had contacted the GPL rep?  Loxdev?  or one of loxdev's faithful followers?  DOES IT REALLY MATTER?  The only logical conclusion about why it happened is that LOXDEV INITIATED THIS WHOLE MESS OUT OF SHEER PETTY JEALOUSY.

If I manage a team of 5 people and I go in and publicly disgrace our biggest and currently more popular competitor because I caught them driving through a red light, and then one of my 5 team members without my knowing calls authorities about this infraction and shows them photos of it happening, who is responsible?  I AM RESPONSIBLE.

But LOXDEV IS HAPPY TO OPENLY BLAME ANYONE BUT HIMSELF FOR THIS POS THING HE DID.  It doesnt matter if LOXDEV or anyone else contacted the GPL about CRONOS.  What matters is that it wouldnt have happened if LOXDEV had not started it and the person who called GPL probably would not have had the balls to do it if LOXDEV  had not just made a public idiot of himself.

you go.  you find the app or game you want.  you click the link.  enter NEW website, click download link, apk file goes to your computer.

copy apk to phone, enable apk installs in android, use a free file manager to launch the apk file, and the android installer starts its magic.

you now have a program on your phone that wasnt there before.  it is probably one that the programmer thinks is worth some money.  if he does, and you have to pay for it in the android market, then you have broken the law.  f-ing yea.  meh.  i did NOT pay for this copy of windows, I will NOT pay for that copy of documents to go.  thank you very much FSUCKERS.

BUT WAIT.  have you REALLY broken the law?

is it YOU that broke the law?  or is it the person who took the apk file and posted it publicly and setup links to it that broke the law?

How DOES that work?  Does android-underground.org display anywhere that the files it links to are illegal copies?  probably not.  that would be stupid for them to say publicly.

So is it buyer beware?  if you buy used goods and they turn out to be stolen, the police CAN take them away from you even if you paid legal money for them and thought it was a legal deal.

So is that true here?  probably.  but how does google find out?  do they care?  CAN GOOGLE SEE STOLEN APK FILES ON YOU PHONE?

Android tablets versus the iPad - choose with brain, not the trend

Why is a cheap chinese android tablet in this list?  Because it CAN be!

How many ipads running ios have you seen that weren't made by apple?  NONE

How many tablets running android have you seen that weren't made by a major android hardware builder such as Galaxy (makers of the amazing tab 7" tablet)?  DOZENS

They range in price from $80 to $800 if you include craigslist pricing for resistive touch screen models right up to stock list prices of the best android tablets available.

You get CHOICE.
you get ANDROID.
you get MARKET*
you get to root your tablet and do whatever you want to it just like with your android phone

New chinese tablets are coming out with nice easy to touch capacitive touchscreens instead of the older resistive touch panels that required a hard press or a stylus.  Dont give in.  Apple made a sweet operating system for mobiles and a sweet form factor in the ipad.  But as always it was really a proof of concept and now you can get one without paying for a huge name brand such as Samsung.  The tab is f-ing amazing.  Why pay big $$$ tho if you can get mostly the same for cheap with chinese knock offs running the same os.

Why buy an ipad?  cuz everyone else is buying one?  It will be like the iphone.  Everyone had one until android took off and now android is the cool thing to get cuz everyone prefers choosing how their phone looks and works and the prices are better too.


* in most cases at least but some cheap older model android tablet did not have the market included - but you can always copy over apks which are androids installers, so the market isn't the only way Android has more app availability than apple's ios.
